Mumbai: Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly has expressed his displeasure on Twitter, saying that God will now be the savior of Indian cricket. “Indian cricket seems to be losing new ground. The issue of interests… the best way to stay in the discussion… is that God can save Indian cricket now. Sourav Ganguly targeted BCCI in the words that BCCI has served notice to Dravid on issues of interest.
Former spinner Harbhajan Singh has also expressed his opinion by quoting Ganguly’s tweet. ‘Really? I do not know where this issue is headed. You can’t find a better man for him than Rahul Dravid. To send notices to such great cricketers is like disrespecting them. Indian cricket is in dire need of a bright future. Indeed, Harbhajan confirmed to Ganguly that Indian cricket should be saved by God.
What’s the matter?
Rahul Dravid, former captain of the Indian cricket team and head of the National Cricket Academy’s cricket operations, has been served a notice by the BCCI on issues of interest. The notice has been sent by BCCI officer (Retd) Justice DK Jain on the complaint of Madhya Pradesh cricket team member Sanjeev Gupta.
Rahul Dravid is the head of the NCA’s operations and vice-president of India Cement Group. India Cement owns IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. Gupta alleged in his complaint that Dravid was working in both the institutions and that the issues of interest were violated.
