SERVICE CONDITIONS

Repair Terms & Service Policy

Effective September 21, 2026. These terms help customers understand diagnostics, approval, payment, warranty and device handling before service begins.

Appointments and authorization

Drop-off and onsite service are by appointment. Work beyond an initial inspection will not begin until the customer authorizes the service or quote. The customer confirms they own the equipment or have permission to authorize work on it.

Diagnostic fee

Basic diagnostics start at $60 plus applicable GST. The diagnostic fee is applied toward an approved repair when stated in the quote. Diagnostic-only service remains chargeable even when a repair is declined, uneconomical or not possible.

Quotes, parts and payment

Parts are quoted separately before installation. A quote may change if additional damage or required parts are discovered; further work requires customer approval. Payment is due when service is completed or the device is collected unless another arrangement is confirmed in writing.

Data and passwords

Customers are responsible for backing up important data before service whenever possible. Repair, recovery, software installation and failing storage devices can involve risk of data loss. Passwords provided for service are used only for authorized work and should be changed afterward when practical. Data recovery results cannot be guaranteed.

Thirty-day labour warranty

Completed repair labour includes a 30-day warranty covering the same verified labour issue. It does not cover new or unrelated faults, accidental or liquid damage, malware, customer modifications, normal wear, external accessories, data loss, or parts outside their supplier or manufacturer warranty. Warranty assessment may require returning the device.

Parts and special orders

Installed parts are covered by the applicable supplier or manufacturer terms. Special-order or opened parts may be non-returnable once approved and ordered, except where required by law or accepted by the supplier.

Unclaimed equipment

Customers will be contacted when equipment is ready. Storage arrangements or charges may apply to devices left for an extended period. No device will be disposed of or otherwise handled as abandoned without reasonable notice and consideration of applicable requirements.

Remote and onsite service

Remote access begins only after customer approval and can be ended by the customer. Onsite work requires safe and reasonable access to the equipment and work area. Network, account and third-party service availability may affect the result.

Limits

We use reasonable care, but cannot guarantee that every fault is repairable or that an intermittent problem will be reproduced. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Final authorization, price and any special conditions should be confirmed on the customer’s estimate or service record.
